Project: Refinish Wood Flooring

Comments: My hardwood floors where so bad that I didn't think where going to be salvageable. I wasn't expecting any miracles, but he preformed one. I had water damage from a leaky ice maker, the place where my mastiff's water bowl set for ten years, there where scratches, gaps between the boards, I had one room that the floor was covered with linoleum that I had just removed the day before, there was a obvious difference in colors and a line where the threshold was. James made everything go away. I had just got divorced and my ex wife took all of the furniture. I was going to Fiji the day after he stopped by to give me a estimate. I wanted to have the floors finished before I got home, so that I could refurnish my house. I got home last night and the floors are beautiful. I'm going to hire him again to refinish my stairs, my mastiff clawed them up really bad. Ex wife took the dog too. It was nice dealing with the owner of the company that was doing the work, he has skill, talent and takes pride in doing a good job. I keep looking for a place to add before and after pictures, but I don't see that option.

He has many years of experience and the hardwoods he installed in our back rooms (replacing old carpet) are gorgeous... closely matching the rest of the house. James was great to work with and he produced excellent results. He refinished a complex, patched Tigerwood floor, and he also built a beautiful set of matching Tigerwood stairs. He communicated effectively throughout, and worked with my contractor to work into our schedule. His pricing was competitive. Above all he truly cares about the quality quality of his work.

Project: Repair or Partially Replace Wood Flooring

Comments: We have a 1903 Victorian home. We hired James to remove 2 layers of linoleum and restore the original fir floor in the Kitchen . James was polite, punctual, professional. Very knowledgeable with old wood floors - he explained the process to us - his bid was very reasonable and he was clear about what the additional costs would be when he saw repairs were needed . He was meticulous about keeping the area clean and the rest of the house free from the dust. We will definitely contact him again when we need more floor work done and highly recommend him !
